Easter

Whaaa...I'm posting about Easter only a month late?? Not sure what has come over me. Note Paige's gorgeous hair in these pics. Sob.

Easter was a lot of fun for us. I had flown to photograph my cousin Jenny's daughter's wedding the Friday before and Douglas and I had been asked to speak in church on Easter Sunday, so it was a crazy weekend. We never did dye eggs, but I did make a yummy dinner (thanks for the ham Mom) and deviled eggs and there was plenty of candy, so it turned out all right. I got the kids chocolate bunnies thinking they were hollow, but no, those suckers were solid and they were delicious!!

I cut back on the amount of candy I bought and tried to buy stuff I wouldn't gobble down. I also put less candy in each egg. Mean, I know, but really, I never let them eat all the candy anyway so instead of throwing it out, I gave them a reasonable amount. We also filled eggs with coins which was a HUGE hit with the 7 year old.

The kids looked especially dapper in their Easter finery. My mom buys the Easter outfits and they are always too cute to handle. I just want to squeeze that cute baby of mine.

It was also a great day to remember the sacrifice of our Savior. I feel truly blessed to have the understanding (limited) of what He did for us and that through Him we can return to our Heavenly Father's presence and live eternally with our families.

Happy Easter!

Here they are, ready for the hunt!!

Checking out the spoils

Man, I love these monkeys. Could they be any cuter?

Once upon a time...

I thought it would be fun to cute Paige's hair to her shoulders. I have regretted it ever since. I miss her beautiful, long locks. I miss them to the point that sometimes I almost cry about it. I know, I have issues, but it's true, I am mourning the loss of her beautiful hair. Don't ever let me do that again.
