on the up and up...finally!

Well, the sick bug took our house by storm last week...really only D and me, but we were truly miserable. I tried to fake feeling okay as long as I could, but when Saturday came I couldn't fight it any longer and spent a good portion of the day sleeping. Thank heavens D was feeling well enough to let me. The funny thing was that we had two different bugs, but we both got sick the same day. It was nice to have D back in bed with me last night since I kicked him out when his snoring and tossing and turning got to me. The only good part of it was the "sexy voices" we both aquired. Gone now, but good while they lasted.

Now J is sick and boy is he a grump. I don't know what he has, maybe just a grouch bug, but it is a mean one.

Did I mention P started to crawl. She is a maniac now. Now she cries and crawls for me at the same time. It is so endearing. Actually, she is much happier now that she can get around, but still prefers to have me by her side at all times.

Did anyone watch the remade "Sense and Sensibility" on Masterpiece last night? It was the first half and I loved it. I loved the actors and love how they draw it all out and provide so many details. I know this may be blasphemous to all you die hard "Pride and Prejudicers" but I think Sense and Sensibility is my favorite. I love the story. I love the great characters, the love stories. Yep, I think it is my fav.

On that note, D and I watched "Becoming Jane" last week while we were sickies. I loved it and being me, had to research Jane Austen after I watched. I was so sad to find out that much of that movie is fictional or really all of it is. Bummer. Don't know why it is a bummer---guess I liked the tragic love story. How sad is that.

I am revamping my biz a little. It has provided a great deal of stress as I try to get things just right---right for me and right for my business. I want to run it how I want to, yet don't want to alienate myself from my clients. Such a tough call...However, I am looking for some cute new models to add to my portfolio so if any of you think your child just needs to be on my site let me know. I have some specific ideas of what I am looking for, so if your kiddo fits, I will take some pics for free.

My house is such a mess. A week of not doing much about did the house in. I guess I need to start tackling it today. I am avoiding it, however, as the task seems somewhat daunting. The end of the day and the house is still is a state of filth. Whiney children have procluded me from cleaning much of anything {sigh}. I guess there is always tomorrow...you know what, that is what drives me the most crazy!!! It will still be here and messy tomorrow.

Well, on to bathing and putting kids to bed. Hey, at least I got a nap out of both kids today! Hooray!

Thanks Nana for our darling Easter outfits!!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketJackson can't quite figure out the natural look in pictures...he was the talk of the nursery in his little outfit though!Photobucket

Just a whole lotta photos...

My brother Greg came down for the weekend and I was using him as a model for a project I am working on. Jackson had to get in on the action too. He loves his uncles.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Grandpa George

We were so lucky to have Grandpa George and Grandma Dee come from Georgia for a few days. Jackson and Paige were spoiled with attention and we were so sad to have them go. Hopefully we can get out there some time this year because we sure miss them when we don't get to see them!

Cute little P.

Here is Paigie...don't know if you have seen a picture of her before so I thought I would post one...or a lot.
So I am officially in LOVE with this new pettiskirt (thanks Andrea!). Aren't girly things so fun. I think I put the bow back on about every five pictures and her hair is sooo crazy. It was flying away in most of the pictures. She is such a sweet little thing though. How can you not love those chubby cheeks, pouty lips and gummy smile?Photobucket

so, I am a little indecisive...

Okay, so I am a little indecisive. I really would like a new, updated logo. So, I am asking all of you (blurkers included) to please let me know which you like. I think I like the fonts on the last, but the little embellishment is what is up in the air. thanks.

1. This is my existing logo. I could keep it if it is the winnerPhotobucket

Is there anything better than a freshly bathed baby??

Jackson is brushing with his "bob squash pear pants" toothbrush. When he first called it this I about fell over laughing so hard. He got really embarrassed and later told me he doesn't talk very well. So sad. If only he could understand that I was laughing because he was so dang cute!! And how in the world did he know who Sponge Bob Square Pants is anyway??Photobucket

Cute little P. She has been more herself yesterday and today which was so nice. She didn't even cry for the sitter this morning which is a shocker!!

This is so typical P. When she sets her mind to something or decides she doesn't like something there is no stopping her.

Happy and clean. Ohhh...I love my kiddos!

Love that gummy smile....

D is out of town and of course I am staying up way too late. I am a night owl at heart, but he has a way of curbing that thankfully. I let Jackson sleep with me yesterday and when I carried him to my bed and he realized where he was he was so ecstatic. Too bad someone called at 6:45am and woke him up for good! I tried to get him to sleep again, but he kept trying to play with my hair. He has always been my little hair boy. No blankie for him, just a handful of his hair. I am glad D will be back tomorrow. I miss him.

P's Piggies and more...

I love that I can put her hair in piggies now. It is fun and a lot of work to have a little girl!Photobucket
I love that big gummy grin. Maybe someday she will actually get teeth.
Photobucket
Serious little girl. She is a total mommas girl and it can get a little annoying because she wants me to hold her all the time. This started about three weeks ago and I really hope it doesn't last too long because I can't even set her on the ground without her crying for me.

I only took two of J before he was done. He is such a cute little bugger.

Jackson's little friend marissa. She is a good little model because she sits still. Such a girl, already wanting pics of herself.

Birthday Party Extravaganza

So I am probably the worst party throwing of all time...nothing coordinates, I let my kid pick everything out no matter how random and I sort of refuse to spend a lot of money on it. The kids had fun though and that is all that counts right?

So here goes a LOT of pictures from the big day.

J and Stockton just chillin' after scooping up pinata goodies.Photobucket
Photobucket Unwrapping gifts. I love how all the kids unwrap together and no one thinks a thing about it.
Hitting the Lightning Mcqueen pinata. J told me he wanted a Junior Asparagus party (from vege tales), but he insisted on the Cars pinata. Whatever.
Photobucket The kids loved jumping on the trampoline. We put ball pit balls and balloons all over it. They had a hayday.
Photobucket
Photobucket I made the cupcaked in ice cream cones, but none of the kids quite got it. They would decorate, lick the frosting and candy off, bite the cake down as far as they could and leave the cone. I tried to explain, but the words were wasted on three year olds.
Photobucket And Gwyn realized that she could maximize her sugar calorie ratio by eating straight frosting.
Photobucket Yummy and colorful.
Photobucket Doesn't he look like a little birthday grouch in this picture.
Photobucket
The remains of one cupcake...the only party goer that saw my vision with the ice cream cones.

Photobucket Sarah Jane...too interested in decorating to actually look at the camera, but a smirk none the less.

J was bouncing off the walls the whole day leading up to his party. He was sooo excited. It made it so fun!
