growing baby...

So, it is in fact a girl that is growing (very quickly) in my belly. I went back for another ultrasound today because on my last OB visit I was measuring a little small. Believe me, it is not because the baby is small. According to the ultrasound tech's measurements, my baby is already 5 pounds 7 ounces and that would put me at 35 weeks as opposed to 33.5. Of course, you still go by the LMP due date, but it was interesting to know that I will most likely not have a small baby. She easily identified girl parts and now I can get rid of the anxiety of having a pink room.

Speaking of which, my room is coming along quite nicely. I ordered the first bit of decor yesterday and I am getting excited. Douglas is almost done with the bead board and hopefully this weekend I can get the painting finished and breathe a little.

I went to the eye doctor today about my weird eye thing I have been having lately and he said it was probobly an optic migraine-nothing big, just annoying. Hopefully it will go away post baby.

I went to Costco today and bought some wrapping paper which means I can finally send off bday gifts from the last two months. How lame am I? I have not been on the ball in this arena.

I enjoyed the rain the last few days, but I will be happy to get some warm park days again. I am not taking J to storytime for a while. I finally decided that since I left totally and completely frustrated each time, it wasn't worth it. I will try again in maybe six months.

I finally did it.

I have debated and debated over this and finally did it--my new baby chair. It is a sage green microsuede which will coordinate with a lot, yet still match the babies bedding. And the best part...it was about 1/3 the price of the potterybard version (including shipping). I heart Costco.

We're getting there.

pregnancy

On a beautiful April day....

We had an Easter egg hunt that some friends from the ward organized. There were a lot of kids and I think Jackson enjoyed helping me hide the eggs more than find them. That's okay, he had fun and I love to be outside on nice days like today.

The dr. gave me the go ahead to ride my bike still (we will see if I still can). It needs to be cleaned up a bit, but we bought a bike trailer and I am excited to take J out. I think he will enjoy it. I think I will stick to whatever flat terrain that I can. I don't have it in me to go up any hills.

So I am starting to feel that pre-baby anxiety where you realize that it is coming soon and you still have sooooo much to do. Ahhhh. I know there is time after the baby, but I also realize that life takes a break for a while when you have a new baby. I just really want to have the baby's room put together. I got started on the crib bedding, but lately all my free time is spent editing pics. Plus, sometimes I wonder why I can't just get my act together and keep my house organized and neat. I try, but I guess I am not very efficient or consistent or something because I feel like it starts to eat me up again. The worst culprits--my desk and counter. I feel like they accumulate papers and stuff so fast.

J is doing great with potty training. He has the occasional accident, but all in all, he is a pro. He still tests me non stop and I am grateful that yesterday and today have been a little less painful with him. Some days I just don't know what to do. He is onery and I feel like I spend my time fighting with him. I hate it. Plus, he wants me to carry him, or will go limp noodle on me so I have to and it totally wears me out. I won't complain anymore, I just hope he passes this stage quickly.

Well, I need to download some pics from a session today. I hope I got some good ones. It is hard because I will think some are really cute, but you never know what the mom will think.

Dressed with style...

You never know when there will be a sudden dip in temperature!
