Funny girl!

Jackson and Paige have been really into magic lately. The funny part is that Paige thinks that magic tricks just happen because they are magic. Yesterday she brought a deck of cards into Douglas and told him to take one. He grabbed one and then guessed, "is it a 6?" Surprise, surprise, it wasn't. I think she was more surprised than anyone. So, she leaves the kitchen and comes back in a few minutes later with just a few cards. She has Douglas take one and guesses, "is it a king?" Surprise, surprise, it was. She had gone to the other room and pulled only the kings out for her "magic trick". Funny, smart little girl!!

I did a trade with a girl who makes hair accessories. She made me some bows in exchange for some pictures. Paige was a cute model! These were taken September of 2011.

Mother's Day gifts!

Jackson's first grade play

Jackson and the 1st graders at Carpenter put on a show about weather. Jackson had a part as a narrator. He spoke clearly and confidently. Such a great kid! We were so happy to have Grandma De and Grandpa George here to see it too!!

Snaggle tooth

Jackson was so lucky to end up with an extra tooth. What a pain. Here he is before having it, and the one next to it pulled. Next up...an extraction of the extra tooth in the gums so it won't cause problems with the legit tooth growing in. Here's too years of expensive dental work!

April Fools

The kids love April fools so I celebrate with them and try to play pranks on them all day! This year, one of the pranks I played was to make them "grilled cheese" out of pound cake and frosting.

I can't believe that J Man is 7. Where did the time go? I took cupcakes to school for him to pass out. It was so cute to see how excited he was to be the birthday boy at school. The next day we had a birthday party for him at Chuck E. Cheeses.
