Chitter Chatter
no one is updating today, but d is out of town and i am bored with a messy kitchen and tons of laundry to fold. I really want to start getting packed for orlando, but that packing procrastinator in me is really fighting it.
went to a fun pool party this afternoon and j loved the pool. it was nice to get out. slathered him with sunscreen and forgot myself. classic.
my house smells like immitation crab meat. i made my MIL pasta salad for this party and it has this meat in it. do any of you have the problem i do that when you prepare a dish you no longer can eat it. i think it is the smell or something. i don't know how many great meals i have made that i sit down at the table and can't bring myself to even taste it. i have made some fun new things lately and need to start posting the recipes. i love ms everyday foods mag. totally easy meals that are unique and tasty. love it.

Chitter Chatter
Just back from SLC. It was a quick trip--too quick almost. I would have loved to shop a little more, but we ran out of time. I did however, manage to spend like $150 at baby gap in the ten minutes I was in there. I just finished sorting through the clothes for the second time since I got home. Why do I derive so much pleasure out of buying baby clothes. I don't feel this about my own clothes, but there is something about cute little clothes that is so fulfilling. Also, Jackson always looks cute in his clothes, whereas with me, it is hit and miss. I guess I need to have another boy so at least I can justify all the clothes that Jackson has. In my defense, I do buy just about everything on sale. So, that is how I justify it.
It was cold and rainy in SLC. We brought no unbrella. It was really wet. Running from the conference center to the temple was like taking another shower. We were soaked by the time we got there. The sealing was nice. But the bride had the most gorgeous dress that I have ever seen. Seriously. I was actually feeling jealous over this dress. It was totally vintage looking with lace and a high lacy neck. I can't even explain it, but it was amazing. And she had this huge, draping bouquet. Dang I wish I had great fashion sense. It is not my forte by any means and even given unlimited resources, I don't think I could have ever come up with a dress like this girls. To really validate this dress however, was the fact that all the men we were with, including my husband, kept commenting on the dress as well.
Went to Pottery Barn Kids to buy J's bedding--don't carry it in the store. I was really annoyed and ended up buying nothing. So irritating.
Well, this will be a busy week. We are off to Orlando in Wednesday night and I work all day Tuesday, so, I will have to be really productive tomorrow. I have tons of wash to do and my goal is to not be packing as we are running out the door. I want to have everything layed out early.
We bought a portable DVD player and that made all the difference with traveling with Jackson. He say and watched baby eintein and even the first half hour of lady and the tramp. Totally worth the $$.
I am still sick. I can't seem to shake this thing. I will think I am getting better and then the next hour I am totally congested again. Jackson also has a runny nose and cough. If I am not better by Wednesday I am going to go to the doctor and make sure it isn't some bacterial thing. Just what I want to do during a busy week.
Off to put some clothes in the washer.

It's been a while...
I haven't had much motivation to blog lately. I have been continually tired and then sick and wah, wah, just plain exhausted. Now I have this nasty hacking cough and so on and so forth.
I took pictures at my first wedding and it went really well until I realized that my ISO was at 1600 for the majority of pictures. Ahhh. Live and learn. And isn't it great that they are paying me to do my learning?
Getting excited to go to FL for Christian's wedding. Lots to do before then including going to SLC for a haircut (okay, actually a wedding, but I am more excited about the haircut part).
Haven't picked up the camera for a while. I guess I am sort of overwhelmed with the pictures that I already need to deal with and not picking the camera up helps me avoid anymore. I was going through the red chair pictures with my mom and saw a couple more cute ones to post. I have to tell you that right after Jackson tried to feed Strider his treat he popped it in his own mouth. Gross.
Well, off to bed. I took some nyquil for the cough and hope I don't remember anything until tomorrow.

comic relief
oh, and just for some comic relief, I also sanded over the cord of the belt sander douglas borrowed from a work buddy.
Good or Bad News?
So...is it good or bad news when you start the computer (newly constructed computer, I might add) and a black screen comes up blinking WARNING: Backup all files. Hard disk failure is imminent. ??
Immenent, of all the words the computer can choose.
oh, and getting non paintable silicone off the wall is realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly hard, or dare say a b****. Only way to say it. I rarely swear, but this singular event has brought me that low. Even my "imminent" hard disk failure seems like notin.
Once I finally get the wall presentable (if at all possible ever) I am going right out to Potterybarn kids and buying all the bedding for that room that I want.
There you have it. Don't try and stop me.
